Seatoun House III
Wellington
Wellington
This family home on a steep site in Wellington’s Seatoun works to maximise sun and views while maintaining privacy and shelter from the prevailing winds.
The house steps up the hill, connecting rooms to the outside and creating terraces to the upper levels. A crib wall carves out a sheltered courtyard behind the kitchen and living spaces, resulting in glass on three sides.
A bridge over the entrance connects the lounge to the family room. A large concealed sliding panel can close off the lounge to create a formal entertaining space.
