Amid a collection of bikes and Bob-the-office-dog, Max Herriot and John Melhuish lead the studio in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. The original HQ of the business, which was founded by John and Max in 1997 as Herriot + Melhuish Architects, Wellington is also home to a range of award-winning projects.
Before setting up their own practice, John, a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Architects, previously worked for Athfield Architects and Max, who also trained as a structural engineer, had his own business, Max Herriot Design.
