Recreation Centre, Victoria University of Wellington

This comprehensive redevelopment of a disparate group of existing buildings met the current and future needs of this busy university gym and rec centre. The complicated planning involved rationalising the existing structure, as well as addressing key issues of budget, sustainability and a fast-track programme to meet the university holiday timeline. Stunning views through the building across the city were enhanced and accessibility, environmental conditions, way-finding and connection to the campus and city were all hugely improved.
