Il Casino Development

Our proposed development of Il Casino, a much-loved Wellington restaurant and iconic heritage building, won praise from the client and city planners alike. A great deal of care was taken to retain the favourite features of what was one of New Zealand’s longest running restaurants, while giving new life to the tired building. A small number of apartments were planned with careful attention to volume and detail to provide a vibrant addition to the cityscape. Unfortunately, construction was stopped due to the death of the client, iconic Wellington restaurateur, Remiro Bresolin.
