Gender Diversity in Architecture and Engineering
13 April 2018Back to news
Just 29% of New Zealand architects are women. Only 14% of engineers are women.
Launched this week, the Diversity Agenda is a joint project between the New Zealand Institute of Architects, Engineering New Zealand and the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACENZ). The goal is 20 percent more women in engineering and architecture roles by 2021.
The campaign will discuss issues like pay equity, workplace culture, staff retention and why there are so few women in senior roles in both these male-dominated industries.
HMOA is a founding partner of this change campaign that already has over 40 organisations on board.
